Popstars is a prime time pop music documentary that chronicled the real-life selection, creation and development of the girl group Sugar Jones.

Thousands of girls auditioned across Canada for the chance to be the world’s next Popstar.   The series follows all the behind-the-scenes drama and excitement of the selection process, which culminates with the release of the group’s CD, video and tour via a recording contract with Universal Music Canada.
Sugar Jones broke a Canadian record with the highest debuting single by a debut artist in history.
