POPSTARS: BOY MEETS GIRL

Popstars: Boy Meets Girl is the 2nd installment of a prime time pop music documentary that chronicles the real-life selection, creation and development of the guy/girl group Velvet Empire. The Canadian boy/girl pop group was selected from thousands of singers who auditioned in four major cities. Music industry judges selected the top thirty contestants to travel to Toronto, where industry experts determined the final five group members. The series next followed the group as they took the first major steps of their young careers: giving interviews at their first press conference, recording their debut album and shooting their first video. The series leads up to the major landmark: the group’s first live show in front of their fans. The series allows viewers a behind-the-scenes look inside the music industry.
